As of 2021, effective cures for COVID-19 were not available, and herd immunity had yet been achieved. Quarantine measures that temporarily cut off the physical "connection" between people were considered vital to bring the virus under control in China. This lecture introduces China's experience in fighting against this pandemic and discusses factors that enabled its containment strategies.
