Grad Students' Mini-lecture Program The 6th Session
Video
What would you do if the doors of the train you wanted to take closed in front of your very eyes? We do various things when we almost come to bite the ground. E. Goffman calls such actions "face-works" and analyzed their relation to the "line" of one's own and of other people. Illustrating these concepts, this lecture invites you to Goffman's theory of social interaction.
This program offers UTokyo graduate students to give an active learning oriented lecture. Through the opportunity, learners are expected to gain specialized knowledge from lecturers, and also each lecturer can cultivate their teaching skills to be active in academic fields as an educator in the near future.
