Advance Care Planning (ACP): Preparing for Life’s Unexpected Moments
Sarina Enami

Video

Illness or sudden accidents can make it impossible for anyone to express their wishes. To prepare for such situations, Advance Care Planning (ACP), known as Jinsei Kaigi in Japanese, encourages us to think ahead about the medical care we would like to receive and to engage in ongoing conversations with our families, trusted friends, and healthcare professionals. In this lecture, I will explore the basic concept of ACP and discuss how to carry out these important conversations, reflecting together on how we can prepare now to live and end our lives in a way that truly reflects who we are.
