The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) was established in 1944 as a specialized agency of the United Nations under the Chicago Convention, and in　2024, ICAO marked its 80th anniversary. Participants will deepen their understanding of the role that ICAO has played in promoting the development of international civil aviation, fostering international cooperation, and establishing international rules.
　In recent years, international civil aviation has been required to address global challenges such as strengthening resilience against infectious diseases and achieving carbon neutrality, as well as adapting emerging technologies. What strategies is ICAO implementing to tackle these issues? Together with panelists from the aviation industry and the next-generation participants, this seminar will envision the future of international civil aviation.
