Biodiversity has provided various ecosystem services and support our good quality of life, but many of these services as well as underpinning nature are now rapidly declining globally. This lecture will explore the critical role of biodiversity in achieving sustainability goals and emphasize our responsibility to conserve it, by explaining how biodiversity and ecosystem services support our lives and how our lives, in turn, impact them.
