The former "Kagayashiki Gosyudenmon Gate" of the University of Tokyo (commonly known as the "Akamon", or Red Gate, of the University of Tokyo) has been closed since last year for structural surveys, and we would like to apologize for any concerns and inconveniences that this may have caused.
Currently, we are conducting various surveys for preservation, safety assurance, and utilization.
Following on from last year, we would like to take this opportunity to show you the processes for the actual measurement of roof tiles and the measurement of the minute shakes at the back of the hut using the video created along with explanations from a faculty member of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering.
