Medical informatics is the field of science that focuses on information processing in medicine by applying informatics to medicine.
This lecture explains the essential issues related to the standardization and collection of medical data, such as codes, wave forms, genome information, and natural language information, which are daily accumulated in complex information systems at hospitals while showing specific cases of administrative efforts.
