In November 2016, a new element, atomic number 113 "Nihonium" Nh, was discovered in Japan and appeared in "Periodic Table".

In this lecture, Emeritus Prof. Toshimitsu Yamazaki who served as a naming rights conferment examination committee member talks about the reasons for the conferment.
