We have regarded that school is a fictional space separated from reality, as a condition of its formation. However, in recent years, its characteristics are gradually changing. For example, as seen in the establishment of an 18-year-old voting right, it is suggested that classes and student councils deal with real politics that were difficult to deal with at school. In this lecture, Prof. Kodama looks back on the history of Japan since the period of high growth, and thinks about how the change in the way that school looks will influence the way of education.
