3D scanner, the device for scanning three-dimensional shape of the object, is used in many areas such as animation, industrial design, and medical treatment. 3D printer is the device for production of the real objects from the scanned data. In this lecture, Prof. Suzuki and Dr. Nagai explain the foundation of 3D scanner and 3D printer through lecture and demonstration.
