Engineering is deeply rooted in our life, expanding from the design of transportation network to the restoration of disaster areas. It is based on mathematics and geography you learn in the high school. In this lecture, picking up some questions from the actual entrance exams, Prof. Hato explains how your learning in the high school and the undergraduate courses leads to the frontier of urban engineering.
