Biomass has been expected as a future energy, and enzyme seems to play an important role for producing the resource efficiently. In the natural world, mushrooms and mold decompose trees and grass utilizing enzyme, while the mechanism can hardly be observed so far due to the size of enzyme, therefore the phenomenon is not unveiled yet. This lecture introduces a cutting-edge technology which allows us to observe the phenomenon and recent knowledge of functions of enzyme for decomposition.

NOTE:

- This lecture was conducted only in Japanese.
