Past and Future of Itokawa Asteroid Discovered by Hayabusa Particles

Hayabusa, an unmanned spacecraft was launched in 2003 and arrived a small asteroid named Itokawa in 2005. After Hayabusa collected sample of Itokawa’s surface, it successfully returned to the earth in 2010. The number of samples Hayabusa brought amounted over 1,500, and almost of them were smaller than one tenth of a millimeter. This lecture unveils Itokawa’s history based on the results of research analysis of the micro particles.
